Women shooter bring Iran’s camp the first gold

TEHRAN, Sep. 22 (MNA) – Two women shooters have won gold and silver medals in the women's 10M Air Pistol event in 2014 Asian Games in Incheon.

Najmeh Khedmati topped all her Asian rivals to snatch the first gold medal which was also Iran’s first gold medal in the games. Her fellow teammate Narges Emam Qolinejad won the silver standing just behind Khedmati.

China’s Binbin Zhang came third in the event.

The 17th Asian Games Incheon 2014 kicked off September 19 and will continue to October 1. Iran’s squad consists of 282 athletes, of which 224 are men and 58 are women.
